At the 2016 annual general meeting former Chairman, John Perry M0JNP was awarded an
honorary life membership for his contributions to the Riviera club. John passed his M6 at the
Newton Abbot club and then passed his Intermediate & Advanced licences here at Riviera.
John has always been keen on pitching in at the various special events we run and we look
forward to seeing him at future ones. John runs a local Allstar node from his home in Paignton.
Riviera ARC will be taking part in the RAF Airfields on the Air special event in March 2016 to recognise the airfields both historic and current and their roles in protecting the United Kingdom. We will be operating from Little Haldon to activate RAF Haldon.
The club will be turning out despite the weather to put GB4AOA on the air.
Per Ardua Ad Astra !
Despite atrocious weather conditions the RARC team turned out to put on the Airfiields on the Air event yet again. Although 40m was very busy with a lot of contest traffic, we still managed to put in a large number of qso’s. We reached as far as Switzerland in one direction and the Irish Republic in the other.
Thanks are due to John M6GSW, Steve G7AHP, Tom M0TGZ, Ian G6TEQ, Mike M0LOB, Ian M6IDP, Ann M6RWJ, Lobster M6HFD and Alan G2DXU. We could not have pulled this off without your help & support. Pics are on the gallery.
Well done Team RARC.

RARC will be running the AotA event again this year on the 28th/29th of March 2015 to celebrate the work & sacrifices of the Royal Air Force and to commemorate all the current and former airfields used by the Air Force and the Royal Flying Corps.
We will be running from our usual rendezvous point at Haldon just north of the Teignmouth golf course. G4XKH has obtained an NoV for the same special call we used last year GB4AOA.
Hopefully the weather will play nice and we can work as many stations as possible.
