Just a heads up that Riviera ARC will be running a special event station for Armed Forces Day again this year. This is our way of thanking the men & women past & present for their service in keeping the UK safe.
June 24th is national armed forces day and we will be running again from Little Haldon near Teignmouth. We aim to use GB8AFD and paper qsls will be available.

This year we were so lucky to have such gorgeous weather for running the RAFARS Airfields on the Air special event. Contatcts ranged from Eire, Northern Ireland and Scotland in the north and the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Switzerland to the East.
A fantastic time was had by all both as a radio event and as a social & training opportunity. We will definitely be back again next year come rain or shine.
Riviera ARC is kicking off our season of special event stations with SOS Radio Week 2017 on the 28th January. We run this event to highlight the important work of the RNLI and the maritime emergency services. ( Coastguard and Search & Rescue helicopter crews )
We will be running from our hq at the Acorn Community Centre in Torquay starting around 10:00 hours until 16:00 hours. Special qsl cards will be available via the bureau.
At the 2016 annual general meeting former Chairman, John Perry M0JNP was awarded an
honorary life membership for his contributions to the Riviera club. John passed his M6 at the
Newton Abbot club and then passed his Intermediate & Advanced licences here at Riviera.
John has always been keen on pitching in at the various special events we run and we look
forward to seeing him at future ones. John runs a local Allstar node from his home in Paignton.
